I just want you all to know the artist behind the art. Hey y’all, I’m Taylor Brooke. I share my job adventures as an artist, whether it’s canvas, murals, or anything I can land a paintbrush on. I was born in Denison but moved around a lot growing up, all across Texas and Oklahoma. My childhood was anything but easy. I grew up in the bars, something people might look down on, but back then, those places were full of the most wholesome, silly folks you’d ever meet. My mom was and still is a bartender here in Denison, and has been since I was 4,( I'm 30 now btw)! She has some wild stories y'all I love that woman so much, being a single momma of 3 at the time, she did what she could with the cards she was given. One stronge woman. Being the middle child of three, I went through a lot I’d rather not revisit. We all did. I know we all have events we don't want to share.. My teen years took a rough turn. I walked a dark road, and though I met some incredible people, I also met addiction. Four years in the grip of it. Everything changed the moment I found out I was pregnant with my son. I quit cold turkey, right then and there, and I never looked back. Now, I’m damn near 13 years sober.Today, I’m a momma of two amazing kids, two dogs, and a cat. I’m a fiancée, a business owner, and a passionate advocate for child abuse awareness and drug abuse awareness. I speak from experience, because I’ve seen the darkest days. But I use that darkness, those mistakes, and my passion to fuel my dreams.I’ve always loved art, especially fantasy, medieval themes, and cherry blossoms, my absolute favorite. I was born March 1st, right at the start of cherry blossom season, and I think that’s why they mean so much to me. This is my second year as a professional artist, and I’m honestly blown away by the love and support I’ve received. I owe so much to my better half, my fiancé, he has pushed me when I feel down or falling into depression again. He stays up late helping me on my projects, he has never failed me. He is my rock. I try my best to give back to the community that’s given me so much. I appreciate every single one of you. I hope you enjoy following my journey. The purchases, the following, comments, likes, all of it, especially those sweet messages I get about my work. I appreciate you all so so so so much. just remember, you can overcome the darkness, because you are the light.
